It started with a dream, a butcher's knife, and a deep love for community. In 1983, the Culebra Meat Market opened its doors on the west side of San Antonio — a neighborhood where hard-working Hispanic families needed a place they could trust for fresh, quality food at honest prices.
From day one, we were more than a grocery store. We were a gathering place. Abuelas picking out the perfect cut for Sunday caldo. Families loading up on marinated fajitas for the weekend carne asada. Kids sneaking a concha from the panadería. These are the moments that built our brand.
